SpringboardLabs (SBLabs), an innovation initiative by Springboard Philippines, kicked off its debut fintech hackathon, hack-it! The New Era of Banking, on April 4–5, 2025, at work.able in Exxa and Zeta Towers, Bridgetowne, Quezon City. This exciting event focused on AI in banking, bringing together over 100 participants, including student innovators, banking experts, and AI specialists, all working toward reshaping the future of digital banking through technology.

In a rapidly evolving digital economy, where Philippine banks face outdated systems and rising cyber threats, SpringboardLabs‘ inaugural hack-it! hackathon uncovered AI-driven solutions set to redefine banking security. The event brought together developers, students, and industry leaders to collaborate on real-world challenges, exploring how technologies like AI and fintech can modernize financial institutions, improve user experiences, and enhance security. Here’s how these innovations are shaping the future of finance in the Philippines.
