At the prestigious FFDG Manila Hack Fest (powered by Symph), a showcase of cutting-edge solutions for the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Team Neosolve, with their gamified productivity app ProCrash, achieved an impressive third-place finish. Guided by the expert mentorship of Jake Go, Managing Partner of Springboard Philippines, the team Miguel Kalaw, Lauvigne Lumeda, Kean Louis Rosales, & Renato Causing transformed their personal battle with procrastination into a groundbreaking solution with global implications.

This remarkable achievement underscores not only the potential of ProCrash but also the value of Springboard Philippines’ leadership in fostering SDG-aligned innovation and human capital development.

The FFDG Manila Hack Fest challenged participants to address pressing global issues related to health (SDG 3), education (SDG 4), and sustainable communities (SDG 11). Team Neosolve took a bold and innovative approach, recognizing that productivity and mental well-being are foundational to achieving these goals.

Their app, ProCrash, gamifies task management by transforming large goals into micro-tasks framed as “missions” in a game-like interface. This approach, rooted in behavioral psychology, fosters sustainable habits and mental resilience—both critical to personal and professional success. By addressing procrastination, ProCrash aligns with the UNDP’s mission to empower individuals and communities through healthier mindsets and more productive lives.

Under Jake Go’s mentorship, Team Neosolve refined their concept, ensuring it addressed core SDG themes while remaining practical and innovative. His guidance helped the team leverage cutting-edge tools like Flutterflow and implement advanced features such as:

  • Dynamic task-breaking algorithms that adapt to user behavior.

  • AI-generated visual assets for seamless, cost-efficient development.

Jake’s insights ensured that ProCrash stood out not only for its technical merit but also for its ability to create real-world impact—earning the team a coveted top-three spot.

The success of ProCrash reflects Jake Go’s unwavering commitment to nurturing next-generation tech talent. As a mentor at the hackathon, Jake brought years of experience in technology consultancy, digital transformation, and human capital solutions, helping Team Neosolve navigate the intense competition.

Jake’s role extended beyond technical coaching—he encouraged the team to draw on personal experiences to craft a solution that resonated deeply with users. His mentorship exemplifies Springboard Philippines’ dedication to fostering innovation that bridges local challenges with global goals.

Jake’s involvement in the FFDG Manila Hack Fest is part of a broader commitment by Springboard Philippines to champion SDG-aligned initiatives. By supporting tech communities like Symph and participating in hackathons, Springboard reinforces its position as a thought leader in technology-driven problem solving and human capital development in the Philippines.

ProCrash’s third-place finish is a testament to how personal challenges can inspire universal solutions that align with the SDGs. By fostering mental well-being (SDG 3) and promoting inclusive, sustainable habits (SDGs 4 and 11), the app serves as a model for how innovation can tackle global challenges.

The project’s success highlights the growing importance of gamification in serious applications—a trend Jake Go championed throughout his mentorship. The app’s integration of AI and dynamic algorithms demonstrates how technology can amplify the impact of solutions aligned with the UNDP’s vision.

Through Jake Go’s leadership, Springboard Philippines continues to support initiatives that drive SDG-focused innovation. As a key player in the Philippine tech ecosystem, Springboard empowers individuals and organizations to create solutions that address both local and global challenges. Jake’s mentorship at FFDG Manila is just one of many examples of how Springboard is shaping the future of technology in alignment with the SDGs.
