Springboard Philippines participated in Optum’s Talent Partner Presentation on October 27, 2026, sharing its independently developed ambitions for AI-powered healthcare staffing, workforce development, and enterprise technology integration through 2036.

As an existing talent partner, Springboard welcomed the opportunity to learn more about Optum’s evolving workforce needs and present the direction in which Springboard intends to develop its own capabilities. The 2036 initiatives discussed are Springboard’s strategic ambitions—not approved joint programs, commitments, or expansion agreements with Optum.

A relationship informed by healthcare transformation

Optum’s presentation described a broad healthcare services landscape: clinical and pharmacy operations, customer service and business operations, behavioral health, corporate enabling functions, and technology. Its end-to-end healthcare journey encompasses enrollment and benefits, preventive care, care delivery, clinical services, consumer and provider support, risk adjustment, payment integrity, and revenue cycle management.

For workforce providers, this diversity points to rising demand for people who combine healthcare domain knowledge, operational discipline, and digital fluency. Springboard recognizes the collaborative and innovation-oriented approach to talent acquisition represented by Optum’s leadership, including Priyanca Choudhary.

Springboard’s 2036 ambitions: four independent priorities

1. Build stronger AI-assisted healthcare talent pipelines

Managing Partner Jake Go outlined Springboard’s ambition to strengthen sourcing, competency assessment, candidate engagement, and workforce readiness through responsible AI. Potential investments include structured skills data, AI-assisted matching, job-specific assessments, recruitment analytics, and personalized learning pathways. Human recruiters and hiring managers would retain responsibility for consequential employment decisions.

2. Expand enterprise AI integration capabilities

Springboard aims to develop deeper expertise in enterprise workflow automation, conversational and voice AI, data engineering, knowledge management, and secure systems integration. These are potential capability investments for the broader market; they should not be read as technologies approved for or commissioned by Optum.

3. Strengthen regional service delivery

With experience supporting clients in the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia, Springboard aspires to build a more scalable regional delivery model. It is interested in exploring opportunities with additional Optum offices where needs align, subject to local procurement, compliance, commercial evaluation, and separate approvals. No regional expansion with Optum is being announced.

4. Develop broader specialized workforce offerings

Springboard intends to build on its staffing and managed services foundations, including skilled-worker staffing opportunities through SyncTalents International. The goal is to connect specialized talent, training, analytics, and enterprise technology—not to present a finalized 2036 delivery roadmap for any particular client.

The industry case for AI in recruitment

Research from SHRM 2025 Talent Trends indicates that AI use in HR is growing and that recruiting teams using AI frequently report time savings. These are survey-reported outcomes, not verified performance results for Springboard or Optum.

The LinkedIn Future of Recruiting 2025 highlights growing experimentation with generative AI and a shift toward skills-based hiring. The World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2025 likewise identifies AI, big data, and cybersecurity among rapidly growing skill areas.

These trends support an enterprise opportunity: recruitment technology can reduce repetitive work, but it must be evaluated against quality of hire, candidate experience, time-to-fill, fairness, and long-term retention—not automation volume alone.

Human judgment remains central: avoiding productivity inversion

In Springboard’s article The Productivity Inversion: Why AI Can Make Software Delivery Faster—and More Expensive, Jake Go examines how automation can accelerate routine tasks while creating rework or added costs in complex activities. The same risk applies to recruitment: screening more résumés is not a gain if the resulting shortlist requires extensive correction.

Springboard’s position is that AI should augment professional judgment. Recruiters should validate candidate fit; hiring managers should retain decision accountability; and technology teams should test outputs, monitor bias, and protect sensitive information. In healthcare, these safeguards are particularly important where competence and service quality have operational consequences.

Technology buyers need integration, governance, and measurable outcomes

Enterprise AI requires data readiness, security controls, interoperability, appropriate human oversight, and workflow redesign. Springboard’s technology ambitions therefore include supporting practical implementation—not simply supplying stand-alone AI tools. Organizations should define measurable objectives before deploying AI into recruitment, customer operations, or healthcare-adjacent processes.

Springboard and Optum teams at the Optum Talent Partner Presentation

Springboard appreciates its invitation to the October 27 Optum Talent Partner Presentation and the opportunity to engage with a collaborative talent acquisition organization. The experience reinforces Springboard’s commitment to developing more capable healthcare talent pipelines and stronger enterprise technology services.

Its 2036 direction remains a Springboard-led ambition: to connect talent, technology, and enterprise operations while keeping human expertise and accountability at the center of innovation.
